How Leaders Get To The CRUX Of The Matter?

Wouldn't groups, be, far - better - off, served, and represented, if their leaders, proceeded, emphasizing, true priorities, needs, and perceptions, rather than, looking busy, and spending, too much time, sweating the petty stuff? 

After, over four decades, of personal, and professional involvement, in nearly, everything, related to effectively, leading, and making a change - for - the - better, from identifying and qualifying, to training, developing, and consulting to thousands of actual, and/ or, potential leaders, as well as serving, personally, as a leader, on several occasions, 

How Leaders Get To The CRUX Of The Matter?

I have come to strongly believe, it is incumbent - upon, and a true necessity of a quality, effective, meaningful, relevant, and sustainable leader, to be ready, willing, and able to proceed forward, and get to the actual, 

CRUX of the matter! With, that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means, represents, and requires, and why it matters.

1. Characterconsider; conceive; create; coordinate; common sense

Many aspects of leading, can be trained, but, unless/ until, we choose, individuals, with a high quality of character, as our leaders, we probably, will see little, of - consequence, achieved! 

A true leader, with this essential characteristic, is able to consider, with an open - mind, what the challenges are (before, they become problems), and perceive and conceive of, meaningful, strategic and action plans, and proceed, forward, to create the best plan, forward! 

Only, then, will anyone be able to effectively, coordinate others, towards a meeting - of - the - minds, for the greater good, using genuine, actual, common sense!

2. Relevant; responsive; realistic; right; reasoning; ramifications

Any path, unless, truly, relevant, rational, and responsive, to the current and future needs, of the group, have little, positive impacts! We need leaders, who have positive, can - do, attitudes, but, proceed, in a realistic way, without wearing rose - colored glasses! 

Shouldn't we demand, leaders are consistently, guided by, doing, what's right, instead of, merely, expedient? How does anyone benefit, unless/ until, a leader's reasoning, recognizes, and seriously, considers, potential ramifications?

3. Useful; usual/ unusual; urging; unify

How can anyone be considered, a leader, unless, he consistently, unifies, instead of divides? A thorough understanding, requires, useful leading, addressing, both, the usual, and unusual possibilities, and urging, others, to open - their - minds, and brings forth, a true, meeting - of - the - minds, for the greater good!

4. X: examine; excellence; experience; expertise

Instead of assuming, understanding options, requires examining the possibilities, and choosing the best option, instead of, merely, a path, of least resistance! One must avoid, settling for, good - enough, and demand his utmost degree of genuine excellence, consistently! 

We need people, with relevant, real experience, which provides, meaningful, expertise, and, hopefully, better judgment, and wisdom!

If you hope to make a difference, as a leader, you must get to the CRUX of the matter! Are you ready, willing, and up - to, the tasks, and responsibilities?
